Liff superfan Joe Moorwood, who has contributed 29 liffs to Afterliff, has just published a book of his own: The Yorkshire Meaning of Liff. It contains such classics as:
ASTON
A perfect retort composed an hour and a half too late.
GLEADLESS
To be pleasantly devoid of thought.
ARKSEY
The tilt of an imaginary pint glass to ask if someone on the other side of a noisy pub wants a drink.
Congratulations Joe! Here’s an interview with him from thestar.co.uk and a feature about it in The York Press.
Joe was also on BBC Radio York (1 hour 37 mins in).

Thanks Felicity. It’s not something I truly believed would happen – but it has! I’m currently in PR/promo mode, trying to spread the word anywhere and everywhere. This article on the Afterliff website can’t do any harm! Although my description as a “liff superfan” doesn’t sit easy with me. “Superfans” of anything are usually best avoided in my experience! Thanks again. Joe x
